“When I find it hard to guide my child, I try following them instead.”
— Jessica Milburn (Responsive Parenting)
Who I Support
My work centers on:
Parents who are navigating everything from sleep, feeding, weaning, boundary setting, and discipline to identity shifts, burnout, and co-parenting conflicts.
Children (0–12) who are facing anxiety, adjustment challenges, bullying, school pressure, or big life changes.
Women and mothers dealing with anxiety, depression, identity loss, or transitions that feel overwhelming.
Men and fathers who want to navigate relationships and parenting differently but do not know where and how to start.
Together, we explore how to:
Understand and respond to your child’s developmental needs.
Break intergenerational cycles of trauma or traditional parenting.
Hold space for big emotions — your child’s and your own.
Approach tough conversations — from puberty to social justice.
Find clarity when parenting styles clash aka co-parenting issues.
Build a parenting path that feels aligned with your values.
How I Work
My therapeutic style is eclectic, meaning I draw from a range of approaches to meet you where you are. The focus is to meet your goals in ways that are most useful to you. These include:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Mindfulness-based and trauma-informed practices
Attachment-focused and family-centered
Sensorimotor psychotherapy
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
Psychoeducation to help you understand the "why" behind what you're experiencing
Spirituality (if you like it!)
My Approach & Core Values
I bring my whole human self into this work — not just my professional training, but also my lived experience as a cisgender, straight woman, first-generation immigrant from India, mother of two, late-diagnosed with ADHD, and a person living with invisible disabilities. I engage in regular personal therapy and clinical supervision, because I believe we’re all always growing.
I approach my work through an anti-oppressive, social justice-oriented lens. I help clients locate their struggles not just in themselves, but in the systems around them. And I partner with them to find tailored, compassionate solutions that fit their unique context and values.
I speak English, Hindi, and Gujarati, and offer virtual sessions across Ontario and in-person sessions in Brampton.
When I Am Not Working
When I am not working, you would find me hanging out with my kids, singing and dancing or playing board games. I enjoy binge watching shows, trying multi-cultural foods, acting, and listening to music. In the summer, our family loves spending time outdoors at the park, on day trips or hiking.
