Parenting doesn’t come with a manual — and even if it did, it wouldn’t fit your unique child, family, or lived experience.
Whether you're preparing to become a parent, navigating the early years, or raising a school-aged child, parent and family counselling offers a non-judgmental space to process, reflect, and find your way forward with support.
This space is for you if you're:
Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain in your parenting journey
Facing sleep struggles, feeding challenges, discipline concerns, or emotional outbursts
Struggling to co-parent when values or parenting styles differ
Navigating major transitions — like a new sibling, daycare/school changes, or separation
Unsure how to talk to your child about sensitive topics (e.g., puberty, body safety, social justice)
Trying to break intergenerational cycles or parent differently than how you were raised
Simply needing space to process your own identity, stress, or emotions in the context of parenting
How I work with families:
I support parents and caregivers with tools grounded in child development, attachment theory, and trauma-informed care — while also recognizing the real-world pressures you’re under. We explore what's happening beneath the behaviours, and work together to create strategies that support connection, boundaries, and emotional safety.
If needed, I also support family-focused sessions that gently bring in the voice of the child or other caregivers, when appropriate and helpful.
My approach:
Warm, collaborative, and non-shaming
Rooted in evidence-based frameworks like CBT, attachment theory, mindfulness, and narrative therapy
Focused on both the practical (what to do) and the emotional (what’s going on underneath)
Grounded in an anti-oppressive, culturally aware, and equity-focused lens
Parenting is hard — even when you're doing your absolute best. You don’t have to do it alone.

Life brings challenges at every age — whether you're a child trying to make sense of big feelings, or an adult carrying the weight of stress, identity shifts, trauma, or burnout. Individual counselling offers a safe, supportive space to slow down, be heard, and explore what’s going on beneath the surface — at your own pace, in your own way.
For Adults
You might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, lost, stuck, or simply exhausted from trying to hold it all together. Therapy can help you:
Navigate life transitions, loss, burnout, or identity shifts
Understand and manage anxiety, depression, or self-doubt
Break patterns that no longer serve you
Explore relationships, boundaries, and past experiences
Reconnect with yourself — and reclaim your voice, values, and clarity
This is a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. We work together to explore your story, your strengths, and what healing can look like for you — without judgment or pressure.
For Children (Birth to 12 Years)
Children experience and express emotional challenges differently — often through behaviour, play, or body language. Counselling provides a gentle, child-centered space for them to:
Make sense of big feelings like sadness, anger, fear, or anxiety
Adjust to changes like school transitions, family shifts, or loss
Build emotional regulation and coping tools
Heal from bullying, separation anxiety, or low self-esteem
Strengthen their voice, confidence, and inner safety
I use play-based, creative, and relational approaches that are tailored to your child’s developmental stage and unique needs. Parents are actively included in the process, with support to better understand and respond to their child’s experience at home.
My Approach
Trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and developmentally responsive
Blends modalities such as CBT, mindfulness, sensorimotor psychotherapy, narrative therapy, and psychoeducation
Always grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and a social justice lens
Tailored to your unique identity, story, and goals — whether you're seeking clarity, healing, or support through a hard season
Whether you're an adult, parent, or child — individual therapy can help you feel more grounded, understood, and supported as you navigate what’s next.

“It’s not our job to toughen our children up to face a cruel and heartless world. It’s our job to raise children who will make the world a little less cruel and heartless.”
